Yes. We don't share the same details with everyone, but generally send the same set of details to different groups, such as friends and family, co-workers, community groups etc. This is one of the reasons we built Known2Me - to put YOU in control of what information you are sharing and with whom.
We use end-to-end encryption from the moment you send your details till they are received using the Known2Me app on the recipient's end. This means that only the people you share your details with will get them and that you'll be able to update them with any contact data changes without someone else being able to see this data. The person you invite is sent an SMS via our server with a link to download Known2Me. Once they log in and verify their phone number your details are encrypted on your phone and delivered to them. Their phone is the only one that can decrypt your details. This ensures we deliver your details to them without any chance of interception, even by us. Once they have downloaded Known2Me and accepted your K-card then any updates from you will be automatically synchronised with their address book. These heightened security measures will boost your ability to keep your data private.
If the person you're sharing to is already on Known2Me, they will receive your card and get a notification informing them that you have shared your contact details with them. The process is the same where only they can see your contact details.

If you delete one of your own K-cards then you will no longer be able to share that particular card with anyone else. The people you have already shared it with will have those details on their phones but will no longer be able to get an update from you, if you change your details.
You can delete a card that has been sent to you. It means that you will no longer be able to get updates from that person and their details will also be deleted from your native phonebook, keeping it clean as well. If you are sharing one of your K-cards with that person, they will no longer be able to receive updates from you.
Known2Me has an amazing de-duplication feature. When someone shares a card with you, Known2Me checks to see if you already have that person's details and offers you the ability to merge all the duplicates into one contact, including the details they have shared via a K-card. Eventually, your entire phone address book will be clean and up-to-date.
Would you send the same contact details for family and close friends to people you barely met? Probably not. That's why you can create different K-cards to use with different groups of people. Imagine you are going to an event where you are likely to meet new people. You may want to only share your "Networking K-card" which has just your name and email address. However, some of the people you develop a better relationship with and then you send them a different K-card with more details. This means that the recipient will now have a better set of your details in their phonebook. You are in control throughout this process.
When you register on the Known2Me app, we ask you to provide a name and mobile number. We only use these details for your account registration and to send an SMS to verify your phone number. Once you are in the app, we do not collect any data on you or anyone in your phone's address book. For more information please see our privacy policy.
No. The K-cards you make and the contact data you have in your phonebook stay private to you. When you share your details with someone, the data on the K-cards are encrypted end-to-end. This means that only the person the information is destined for can decrypt it. Even in the unlikely event that someone hacked into our servers then they will not be able to decipher any information. We pride ourselves on being good citizens and doing the right thing by you and your data, so we've invested heavily in making sure it is safe, secure and private.
By allowing Known2Me to sync with your address book you get the full experience of the app. You can select people to share your cards with and when they send you a card it will synchronise their details with your address book. No need for typing!
